About Me
My name is Luis Castillo, and ever since I was a child, I've loved creating art. Growing up in a small agricultural town in California, I filled my days with drawing, watching anime, and playing video games on my PlayStation. In high school, I was introduced to Photoshop and immediately fell in love with digital art. I studied multimedia design in college and began to work as a graphic designer. After working in the marketing industry, I realized that it wasn't for me. I wanted to be involved in creating entertainment media, rather than just promoting it. That is when I enrolled in the Game Design Master's program at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. There, I learned 3D modeling, scripting, game engines, animation, and how to bring it all together with game design. I fell in love with the process of creating these interactive experiences and have been working to hone my craft as a game designer ever since.
